VICE CHANCELLOR OF CHILDRENS HOSPITAL

Dr Maqsood Sdiq

For over four years, Islamic Aid has been a valued partner of The Children’s Hospital Lahore. The second largest paediatric hospital in the world, treating more than 1.3 million children every year.

Together, we have improved patient care, strengthened staff welfare, and uplifted child health services across this vital public institution. What began with small but meaningful steps (upgrading hospital wards, opening daycare facilities for staff, and restoring clean water systems) has grown into a powerful partnership.

Today, Islamic Aid is also helping to develop Children’s Hospital II, a 1,000-bed superspecialty hospital that will advance paediatric care across Pakistan. In parallel, new training and research facilities at the University of Child Health Sciences are preparing the next generation of doctors, nurses, and healthcare leaders.

More than 20,000 people (patients, parents, and staff) now benefit each day from upgraded drinking-water systems funded by Islamic Aid.

As Islamic Aid marks 25 years of service, we celebrate their compassion and their commitment to building strong public institutions for generations to come.
