When floods destroyed his small grocery stall, Aamir lost everything. His income, his independence, and his sense of hope. Each day he watched his children go hungry, unsure how he would provide for them again.

Through Islamic Aid’s Livelihoods Programme, Aamir received a small business grant:  enough to buy a beautiful rickshaw. With it, he began offering rides through his village, taking children to school and helping elderly neighbours reach the market.

Soon, his earnings grew. His daughter re-enrolled in school, his family had food every day, and Aamir began saving for the future. Now, when he polishes his colourful rickshaw each morning, he smiles, knowing that mercy has turned struggle into strength.
